Retirement Plan
Most people need 50%-75% of their pre-retirement income to support them in retirement.
|
|
But because everyone's needs are different,
it is important that you establish your retirement goals to enjoy a happy and secure future. |
| That's why it's in your best interests to have a retirement plan done by a qualified and licenced financial planner. |

Short, Medium and Long Term Goals
To live well in retirement, you will be establishing different goals from those you had in your working life.
To aid your overall well-being and to adjust to the changes in your life, balancing your lifestyle will become more important.
Identifying Your Retirement Goals
You will be reviewing your short, mid and long term plans and taking the opportunity to do some of those things you’ve been promising yourself. Consider the type of lifestyle you want to lead, whether you travel, work part-time or move house.
Considerations
Follow these steps when establishing these goals:
- Consider all areas:
- Lifestyle e.g. travel
- Family e.g. spend time with the grandkids
- Finances e.g. buy a new car, downsize the family house.
- Give these goals a priority to help establish which ones are more important to you.
- Decide when you want to achieve these goals
- Determine how much they will cost
- Decide how often you want to achieve these goals. Is it a once off or a regular occurance eg a holiday each year?
