The Go Green campaign we ran earlier this year was a great success. More than 30% of our members have now opted to receive their super communications online. Those members have helped us to make savings in terms of print and postage and contribute to the welfare of our planet.

This year most members have opted to access their Annual Report online so that the number we have to print is absolutely minimal. That’s a fantastic outcome.

The number of employers opting to receive communications and carry out their super transactions online also continues to grow.

Our Join Online and Consolidate Now online tools have been well received. Members are increasingly taking advantage of registering for seminars online and really appreciate the reminder emails they receive about the session they’ve selected.

We intend to continue to run regular campaigns to encourage more members and employers to do as much as they can online and go green!

Go Greener in 2009

We’ll be looking to encourage more members to register for MemberAccess which is a secure online site which enables them to see their account details, insurance cover, investment options and other details.

Those who are registered will be able to access their 2008-09 annual Member Statements online.

We will offer incentives to encourage more members and employers to receive their communications online.

In partnership with our new insurer, Tower Australia, we are investigating ways of streamlining the business of insurance. Eventually we anticipate that members will be able to apply for insurance online and if their application is straight forward, that they could receive initial confirmation of acceptance in a matter of hours.

Further down the track, we can envisage that claiming a benefit could also be started online.
