Calculating Your Basic Cover

Death Only and Death & Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover

Basic Cover is calculated using our Standard Benefit Scale. The amount of the benefit payable is the same per unit for Death Only and for Death and TPD cover, however the premium for Death Only costs less. Basic cover is 2 units.

The cost and level of cover varies according to your age, and is calculated on a ‘per unit’ system.

The Standard Benefit Scale shows the level of cover and the cost per year for one unit.

The cost of insurance cover is deducted from your Catholic Super account each month.
