Choice of Funds
The superannuation provisions in the Victorian Catholic Schools and Catholic Education Offices Certified Agreement (2004-2007) states that:
“Within 15 days of commencement of service with an employer, an employee shall be entitled to elect to have the employer’s superannuation contributions paid into the employee’s account with Catholic Super, Australian Super or another compliant fund.
An employee may vary the choice of fund only once in a twelve month period.
Should the employee fail to notify the employer of the Fund elected, within 15 days of commencement of service with that employer, then the employer may open an account on the employee’s behalf with Catholic Super.”
